Just some words about Norway #1

"According to the traditional undisputed view, the first component was originally norðr, a cognate of English 'north', so the full name was Norðr vegr, 'the way northwards', referring to the sailing route along the Norwegian coast, and contrasting with suðrvegar "southern way" for Germany, and austrvegr "eastern way" for the Baltic. According to another theory, the first component was a word nór, meaning 'narrow', referring to the inner-archipelago sailing route ('narrow way') through the land. The interpretation as 'northern', as reflected in the English and Latin forms of the name, was due to later folk etymology"
Today, I was in cinema and watched the Snowman, based on the novel of Jo Nesbo, a Norwegian author (or the only norwegian author...) And as I was looking at the endless scenes of the admirable Norwegian landscape I was thinking of how treasure it is for this planet.

Then I reminded myself that the days I spent there weren't all about beauty... 'Cause 8 degrees in summer sounds funny and families sitting by the fireplace looks cosy... But the truth is that you freeze to death and has to listen to all the silliness of those people by the fireplace or radiator.

But we know the saying: Time beautifies memories ;)
So let's see some beauty!
